Solutions:
Let x m/s be the speed of the man who run faster (named by A)
and y m/s be the speed of the man who run slower (named by B)

Since they start at same postion and different direction, they will meet in 55s,
that means when A run 55s and B run 55s, the total distance is 400m.
Thus 55x + 55y = 400 -------------------------------------------------- (i)

Since they start at same postion and same direction, A will overlap B in 180s,
that means when A run 180s and B run 180s, the difference between the distance is 400m. Thus, 180x - 180y = 400 ---------------------(ii)

180 x (i) - 55 x (ii), 19800y = 50000 => y = 250/99
180 x (i) + 55 x (ii), 19800y = 94000 => x = 470/99

Therefore, the speed of them are 470/99 m/s and 250/99 m/s
