Amtrak can get you there. You would get on the train at Metropark, transfer to a Florida train in Philadelphia and get off at West Palm Beach (which is pretty close to Lake Worth). The trip would take you about 24 hours. You could either reserve coach seats (cheaper), or a private compartment (more expensive, but you're able to lay down at night). The Amtrak Florida trains are quite comfortable, and include a lounge car and a dining car (meals are included if you upgrade to a compartment).

The trip isn't overly scenic, but neither is it unpleasant. The biggest price break on Amtrak is based on when you make your reservation: the further ahead you buy it, the lower the ticket price will be.

You won't have a choice of routes. You can get info on Amtrak schedules and prices by going to their website. You may want to consider getting a sleeper car, as that will be a long trip.

Amtrak's Silver Service / Palmetto line runs from NYC to several points in FL

possibly you may desire to make sparkling your question or maybe you and your pals saying you like a passport would desire to bypass returned to college - especially third grade geography. Are you an American citizen? if so, I concern for a manner forward for this united states of america. Orlando is in Florida, Houston is in Texas, those are the two states interior the U. S.. you do not want a passport whilst vacationing in the U. S. and you under no circumstances have. except you're vacationing to Florida by skill of Mexico or yet another overseas united states of america, it is definitely one of the dumbest questions that have been asked. while you're a focused visitor to the U. S. and asking this question, you will have a passprot to pass into the U. S. and could would desire to maintain it with you on your holiday.

Ah, for such a trip the best thing is to go right to the source. Visit www.amtrak.com and use the handy trip planner that pops up right on the carrier's home page. The site will also let you know of any advance purchase fare savings, closest stations to your origin and destination points, etc. You can also consult a local travel agency for more personal travel planning. Have a great trip!
