我太太是內地人，她持有中國護照，我們打算去短途旅遊，如東南亞、日本、韓國、台灣等。想詢問有關旅遊證件和簽證事宜。
1. 如她已有香港居民身份證，是否她可以申請香港簽證身份書(HKDI)出國旅遊呢？
2. 以方便和效用，中國護照好定香港簽證身份書好呢？那個較易出國旅遊、那個較易辦簽證呢？
3. 如她未有香港居民身份證，要用中國護照出國旅遊，是否要她回出生地點辦理簽證呢？或可否在港辦簽證或自行辦理呢？困難嗎？

香港簽證身份書好，因較少地方要簽証！

1. Yes.
2. In theory, both of them are almost the same, as you need to apply a visa in most of the case. But usually holders of DI will experience a more "civilized" treatment, compared to Chinese Passport holders.
3. She can apply visas in Hong Kong. Please note, the Consulate has the right to request document for her legal residence in Hong Kong (a Consulate is only designed to assist foreigner within a area).
