英文 kinder 既用法or意思?

meaning: I was just luckier than some to elude death.
含義：我只是比一些人較幸運，能避過死亡。

kinder = 更仁慈
e.g. He is kind, but his wife is even kinder. She will help any stranger.

意思由對人「比較好」至「好有慈悲」都可以，要看內容所談的實際kind(仁慈/親切)的是甚麼。
