我現在semester two 有一個 management statistics module, 下年有一個management science module ( 可能比較basic introduction) 和 management and research statistics module.
究竟運籌學 所要求的數學程度是不是高深到 要有在bachelor 讀 maths, stat, physics and engineering 才可以應付到? 我現在這個計算稍為小的課程到底能不能讀 在英國大學的 management science/ operational research? 這個問題我最近一直在煩
我在選大學修讀什麽的時候 只有想 我 未來想在機場/ 航空公司工作 所以就選了air transport management 其實我也有猶豫for 大學讀不讀 econ 好 基於我在高中讀econ的成績很不錯 但是我想過大學的econ 和 中學的econ 非常不同( many maths : Econometrics) 我的數學不是十分棒 所以我沒有選econ 怕跟不上 連bachelor degree 拿不到 (有危機意識： 數學成績一直中等， 但卻喜歡數學( 很矛盾痛苦...)
現在又突然想到 讀econ 對我未來讀management science / operational research 的機會是不是更加大？ （ 因為econ 有蠻多數學訓練） + 有興趣 可是我又不想 waste family's money to repeat year one for another course, seems risky and wasteful
我應該怎樣做.... first degree 讀什麽很重要嗎? the most important now is if i carry on studying the current course, would i be eligbile to apply and study management science/ operational research in the future? / or shall i change to economics which i am also interested in and as it equips me with more quantitative skills?

我現在讀的這個課程比較罕有 因為沒有太多大學開， 課程內容比較實用 不會太theoretical 但是也有一些 business econ 的東西 + aviation stuff Example: transport economics, introduction to management, management statistics, logistics, supply chain management, management science, business strategy for transport, transport planning project appraisal
aviation-related modules : introdction to air transport, air transport technology, aviation planning and operations, airport management, airline marketing and management, aviaiton finance aviation safety
現在太多人讀econ 除非個人很outstanding, 否則出路也不會太好吧...(over supply) 讀econ 也很難拿 first 2:1 honour 吧 到時想讀 operational research 的基本要求也沒有了... 總之很矛盾 讀econ的incentive 也只是因為它提供比較多quantitative skills 也有興趣 （好有機會讀 MSc management science/operational research) 這是必然？還是以我現在的課程 想報讀operation research master 還是行的
