solve the parenthesis first. like so: 11-(7)+13.

then just solve. subtract 7 from 11 then add 13.

so you would get: 4+13= 17.

= 11 - 11 + 4 +13
= 4+13
= 17

11-(11-4)+13

becomes 11-7+13

becomes 4+13

becomes 17

11 - (11 - 4) +13

1) look well the - in front of (11 - 4) means to make everything opposite. like this
- (11 - 4) = (-11 +4)

so now you have

11(-11 +4) +13

2) (-11 +4) +13 Simplify the (*****)

= (-7)

3)11(-7) +13 First Multiply "peMdas"
11*-7= -77

4) (-77) +13 Add

Answer = -64

Just follow PEMDAS

11- (11-4) +13

11- (7) +13 : Parenthesis first

4+13 : You add/subtract going from left to right. It doesn't matter if addition comes first and subtraction comes last or vice versa.

= 17

remember PEMDAS
Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction
Now, look at your equation. There are parentheses; and in them are 11-4, which is 7.
so now your problem looks like this:
11-7+13.
11-7=4
13+4=17
Your answer is 17

Seriously? You have to be 13 to be on Y!A and you still can't do basic arithmetic? You're in trouble.

Answer:
Do the part in the brackets first, then you can remove the brackets.
Then just do the calculation.
