oxygen gas generated by the decomposition of potassium chlorate is collected over water. the volume of gases collected at 24℃ and 101.6 kPa is 0.128 dm^3. calculate the mass (in grams) of oxygen gas obtained. the pressure of the water vapour at 24℃ is 2.99 kPa

Pressure, P = 101.6 - 2.99 = 98.61 kPa
Volume, V = 0.128 dm³
Absolute temperature, T = 273 + 24 = 297 K
Molar mass, M = 16 x 2 = 32 g mol⁻¹
Gas constant, R = 8.314 kPa dm³ mol⁻¹ K⁻¹

PV = nRT
PV = (m/M)RT
m = MPV/(RT)

Mass of O2, m = 32 x 98.61 x 0.128 / (8.314 x 297) = 0.164 g
