In about 5 billion years. Wow. The sun must be bigger than anyone could imagine. Jesus! The sun has been "burning" gas for 8 billion years and it still has another 5 billion years left before it "dies." The sun is, and has been losing mass at 4 million metric tons per second!
That means that for every second of the 8 biilion years that our sun has existed, it has been spewing mass out at the rate of 4 million metric tons persecond! And it still has another 5 billion years to go! Wow. Craziness.
