Question about community colleges?

Hello, I am an international student from Hong Kong and I'm a junior in high school.
I am thinking about where I should go to college.
I am a straight A student and got 2080 on SAT, and my adviser said I have a chance to get in some top-ranked schools.
But my family is not rich, and paying for four-year college in Chicago will be a huge burden to my family.
So I was wondering if it's a good idea to go to community college and then transfer to a 4-year college for nursing.

But I heard that mostly people who dont have good grades go there, is it true?
Appreciate your help!
BTW does anyone know about Oakton Community College?

In our town, we have three highly respected nursing schools that turn out RN's.

The community college charges $110 per credit hour. The NCAA school charges $255, and the NAIA school charges $745.

Trust me: You need both good grades and a note from God to be accepted into the community college.
