Much of this is opinion, not factual questions. Black music was often referred to as jive
or jazz. In the 1940s there were several pop artists who liked the black sound
and made recordings Like Frankie Laine recorded "Shine" and "Black and Blue"
Boogie Woogie was a basically black sound with the strong beat and much
music became known as beat music.
Parts of the country had large black populations so their music was aired there
and caught on with pop lovers too.
Q 1 is probably true because young people would splurge on buying records.
When something caught on, the radio Disc Jocks played it to the hilt.
