Become an Accountant???

No restrictions on subjects imposed by university on what candidate should study during HKDSE. Students studying Arts, Science or Business can apply for Accounting Degree at University. For admission score of Accounting subject, please refer to JUPAS or ATU website.

It is not a problem even you do not study accounting in university, you can still become certified accountant when you study accredited conversion course after graduation.

Alternatively, you can take QP (professional accounting exam in HK, most HK university graduates prefer taking QP) after finishing all four PBE papers. You must pass and/or exempt all 8 AAT paper before joining PBE.

Make sure you know everything the work and reality of accountant before you really sure yourself to be an accountant. Accountant is not easy to earn big money, and you have to face very long working hours, tight deadline when you work in accounting field.
