what is humanity and social science(HASS)?

Humanities (it is plural). Just like the natural world has science, the social world needs rigorous science as well. This is where humanities and social sciences come in. They debate over the nature of humans, how societies form and dominate one another, and measure the experiences, attitudes, and values of groups and individuals in a scientific attempt to better understand the human experience. Under the umbrella of humanities you'll find: American Studies, African-American studies, Woman's studies, etc. Social Sciences are: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Anthropology among others.
