Nobody has yet to answer the question. I'm an atheist, so I'm leaving it to others to answer correctly. Quite.

Trying to be clever I see and make yourself feel good, the Sabbath is actually any day of the week as long as you use that time to focus on God, but you didn't read the Scriptures did you, just thought it would be funny to post it after reading 1 part of the Old Testament right?

if we worshipped on the jewish sabbath day, for the eastern hemisphere, it would be friday on the western hemisphere.
paul said dont judge on sabbaths or eating of meat.
for the western world, the 7th day is sunday.

remember the sabbath day is a day of rest, and the sabbath was made for man. Man was not made for the sabbath

Jesus made an extra day to worship . But you should worship everyday .

Christians worship every day. We gather as a group on Sunday. The Sabbath day is the seventh day after six days of working, not the seventh day of the week. It is the day of ceasing, the day of rest, not necessarily the day of corporate worship.

the sabbath was a commandment under the old covenant. we are under the new covenant.
9 or the 10 commandments were commanded in the new covenant (in scriptures directly).
the only one not re-commanded was the keeping of the sabbath. it was given to Israelites to remind them of their bondage in egypt and is not necessary for the new covenant. where as the other 9 are normal moral true ways to live by.
by example the apostles worshiped on the first day of the week according to Jesus resurrection.
this was foreshadowed by the feast of first fruits which Jesus fulfills on sunday.
really the old covenant was a foreshadowing of Christ and He fulfills all of it. why go back to the foreshadowing (old covenant of law, feasts and holy days) when we have the real deal here now. The old covenant couldnt forgive sins either. but the new can. it is a better covenant.

Paul says that by your race if your whole life is under the law then you can still keep those commandments but they are really not required. we are not saved by the law. when converting people to be saved they are under the new covenant and dont have to keep the old covenant.
there is nothing wrong with keeping it but it is not required.

Commonly, Sunday is the 7th day or last day of the week which is the Sabbath day (In the Bible, God tells us to rest during the 7th day because the 7th day is also the day he rested after he created the Earth). If Sunday is the first day of the week then why do we call it weekEND? Monday is the start of the week, which is why Mondays to Fridays are called weekDAYS. If Sunday is the first day of the week, then shouldn`t it be a week day not a weekEND?

Anyway, the calendars that we use today are created by humans and was probably not used by God since at the time it was obviously not created yet. So we don`t have a definite answer to when 7th day the day God refers to as the Sabbath day until later on humans created the calendar on which we use today. (We really can`t refer Sunday as the first or last day of the week for everyone because it may not apply to all countries because we don`t use the same calendars just like Israel who uses Jewish calendar.)

I agree with Top Reporter`s answer though, the sabbath day is just the REST day which is the day God told us not to work, because that day is dedicated for Him, but there isn`t a specific day on which we can worship Him, it just became a tradition to most people to go to church on Sundays probably because it`s considered to be the Sabbath day. In fact, we can worship God every day in many possible ways.

Putting bread inside an empty box of chocolate will not make the bread a chocolate. Just like with people, going to church doesn`t make us Christians. People shouldn`t just worship God on one day then the other days will be their evil days and forget about God. That doesn`t make a person a Christian. It`s called hypocrisy. The purpose of going to church is to worship God and listen to his words not to show that we are a so-called Christian. We can go to church any day.

I apologize for the other information that you may think are unnecessary but I hope that I helped a little. Happy New Year! ☺

Tradition and not scriptural authority is the basis for the "keeping" holy of any day for which the Lord did not "make" holy. Genesis 2:3

God alone can "make" something holy- we CANNOT.

They were mislead by the Roman Pope! But hey guess what some Christians do worship on Saturday

In most of the world Sunday is the last day of the week. That's why Saturday and Sunday together are called the week-end not the week-bookends.

Jesus is worshiped on Sunday because he is a sun god, like Mithra, Zeus/Jupiter, Horus, Attis, Dionysus, Adonis, Tammuz, Hercules, Perseus, Bacchus, Apollo, Helios, and Sol Invictus - whose birthdays are also on the old winter solstice of December 25, when the sun is “reborn.”
