為什麼which後面是形容詞子句?

前面是沒有名詞阿?

全部打上好了 If his appendix has ruptured which requires a more complicated operation and longer stay in the hospital,the cost may be closer to eight or possibly ten or eleven thousand dollars.

在形容詞子句中，which 不代替名詞, 而是代替前面一整句，即“his appendix has ruptured”這件事.
更多示例: He broke that precious vase, which made his father very angry.
Which 代替前面一整句，即 “He broke that precious vase ”這件事, 而這件事使父親很生氣。
一般這種子句只能用which 作關係詞，且一定要有逗號。
你的句子在which前, 沒有逗號, 有點奇怪.

本人認同Jedi的解說。這種以前面一整句（而非某一個名詞）為先行詞的關係子句，在文法上稱為sentential relative clause，屬於形容詞性質的修飾語，也可稱其為形容詞子句。

which 後面的是名詞子句!!

看句子結構!!!~~~

his appendix → 主詞 S.

has ruptured → 動詞V ，此為完成式

which requires a ......... → 受詞 O.

前面是If，那後面一定是接一個完整的句子。
S+V+O. 不就是一個完整的句子!!!

如果你語感較強，其實不用太知道那些專有名詞，覺得順即可~~
