Do the British police have sonic weapons?

Not sure if the police have immediate access to them but our defence forces do, there were sonic weapons at the Olympics. As the article below explains, i remember seeing it on the news at the time.

they can use annoying music to keep people away. business owners also use this technique. they will play boring annoying classical music, or even just high frequency noise to keep loiters and teenagers away.
