Can you determine the equation of a line if you know one point on the line and the y-intercept?

Yes. If you know the coordinates of a point and the y-intercept (0,y) , you know the coordinates of two points. By applying two point form, you can find the equation

It can be determined. Y-intercept represent that the x-coordinates of the point is 0. Then, the coordinates must be (0, number of the y-intercept).

Then, you know two coordinates. you can find finding the slope and then the equation.
