Taking cuttings from my Hoya Bella?

I have promised to root a cutting from my Hoya Bella plant for a friend,how difficult are they to do?and when is the best time?,also will they root in water?.Thank you for any advice given.

It might root for you in water. Take a 3" cutting from one of the ends of the branches and put it into a glass of water on a windowsill. If in a couple weeks you see root hairs coming from the end, it will root. It may not root right now--the plant goes semi-dormant in the wintertime.
