or
Tomorrow is Sunday

Both i and ii are correct. They are acceptable and used by westerners in daily life.
However, in school, (i) should be used instead of (ii).

I totally agreed with both of your opinions. Particularly 002.
A certain thing to happen in future does not require future tense stating.
So," tomorrow is Sunday" is correct.
