Holding hands. Then what?

Hey everyone, first I have to start off by telling you that I have no experience whatsoever in dating, so I'm totally relying on you. Do not fail me. Here it goes.

So I have this friend who is in our small circle of crazy friends (by crazy, I mean we go around doing weird stuff like dancing in the middle of nowhere then discuss if Horatio is gay for Hamlet, look it up if you don't know Hamlet, it's pretty darn good). Anyways, I'm getting distracted.

Ok, so I came to this school in my junior year, with him also being a newbie in town. Everything was normal (or what passes for it) till the start of senior year. This year. He started holding my hands under the desk in history. Then he started holding my hands during lunch. I would ask my best best friend about it if she would start living outside her head, so no. So what should I do now? I mean, I think I like him, but I'm not entirely sure. When I think about him, I get a sense of calmness, instead of the warmness I feel when I think about my crush. I'm not even sure if I like him. So what next?
I mean, there are other things to consider. If I should start a relationship, my traditional family would definitely oppose to it, and I would have to make time for it in my busy senior's schedule.
