類似寫法:

persist on, march on, go on, move on, carry on,....等後面無受詞的情況,
這些on都是同樣用法.

I hope keep it up. 是錯誤的.hope & keep 都是動詞， 一個英文句子只能有一個主詞一個動詞。如果有兩個動詞第二個動詞要變成不定詞或動名詞。不然就寫成兩個句子再用連接詞連成一個句子。

I hope that I can keep it. 我希望我能保有它 (句中that可省略)
I hope we can keep going. 我希望我們能繼續下去。
