in a journal from birth through elementary years? My mother filled one out for each of us and I did the same for my own children.
更新1:

I had mumps, measles, chicken pox in grade school and received polio shots in the school lunchroom.

It's funny you mention that, we were talking about it yesterday.
We all have picture albums from birth to
when ever, but now that Cameras are all digital
that may go away somewhat. I know you can take them
to get devoloped but not everyone will. Can you see
saying lets plug in the memory stick into the computer
and look at baby pictures....just not the same

I do have a very old baby book. So surprised as I was the third child. I'm thinking my sisters were involved in helping fill it out although it's in my mother's hand writing.

People could not afford to do that when I was born, we'd just come through a war and money (and a lot of other things) were in short supply. There are far more photographs of me and my brother than many families had as dad was very keen on photography.

It wasn't usual to keep records of vaccinations etc. back then. I don't think that parents stopped to think that the information might one day be important. When I married mum just told me I'd had every childhood illness (measles, german measles, chicken pox etc.) and I accepted that.

Many years later I caught german measles AFTER I'd had all my children. My doctor was horrified and asked why I hadn't had the vaccination years ago. I told him it was because I'd been told I'd had the illness.

I kept records of all such things for my own children - stuck inside one of my kitchen unit doors, so that I could refer to it whenever the information was required by schools, scouts etc. I have given my own children their records now and they keep records for their own children. It is more important than mum's generation realised but they probably had enough on their minds wondering where the next meal was coming from and how they'd afford our next school uniform.
