-Comparative and Superlative adjectives
-Comparing quantities(特別唔明)
-as+(adjective)+as
-The same as and different from
-like and alike
-too much , too many , too little , too few , enough(特別唔明)

{-Connective of reason : becase , as and since(特別唔明) }有咩
{-Connectives of result : so , therefore , as a result(特別唔明)}分別?

以上嘅野有無需要特別注意嘅地方??

一個音節形容詞的比較級加er 最高級形式加est
Example:
One-Syllable Adjective:tall old long
Comparative Form :taller older longer
Superlative Form :tallest oldest longest

如果一個音節形容詞e結尾,比較級只加r 最高級形式只加st
Example:
One-Syllable Adjective:large wise
Comparative Form : larger wiser
Superlative Form :largest wisest


雙音節形容詞
對於雙音節形容詞 比較級只加more 最高級形式只加most !!形容詞no change
Example:
Two syllable Adjective: peaceful pleasant careful thoughtful
Comparative Form: more peaceful more pleasant more careful more thoughtful
Superlative Form :most peaceful most pleasant most careful most thoughtful

如果用y結尾的雙音節形容詞
比較級形式改變y為ier
最高級的形式改變y為iest

如果雙音節形容詞結束為er,le,ow 比較級加er 最高級形式加est

具有三個或更多音節形容詞
比較級只加more 最高級形式只加most !!形容詞no change
Adjective with Three or More Syllables: generous important intelligent
Comparative Form: more generous more important more intelligent
Superlative Form: most generous most important most intelligent

例外:
不規則的形容詞:

For Comparative and Superlative adjectives:-
No, something, nothing,
He is no better and is still sick.
It is no faster to go by MTR than by car.
No sooner had I let the dog out than it ran away!
Your work is nothing like as good as Henry's.
He is something like what his father was at the job.

Comparing quantity=as+(adj) + as
eg:-Your handicraft work is not as good as Henry's!
One day you will be as (old ) as I (nominative case.)
The same as and different from
eg:-I looked around the classroom, John and Jack were working the same as me,but different from David who was sleeping.
like and alike:-
eg:-adjectives for comparation:-most charming, more tired, most likely;
eg:-modified by adverbs:-very good-looking, rather disappointing, completely,
tired;very much alike; rather alike;
too much:-eg:- I don't like wine too much,(particularly,greatly.)
eg:-I don't like too much wine.(a large quantity of.)
too many;-eg:-Too many glasses were broken in the shop.

Connective of result:-consequence eg:-
so:-eg:-he didn't work hard, so he failed.
because:-eg:-He didn't worked hard,therefore he had to go away.
as a result;-eg:-He didn't worked hard,as a result he had to go to another lower class.
