I am havng problems with the new iTunes 11.0?

Okay so I just updated my iTunes, and the entire layout sucks now and it can't be used properly. I just bought two albums off of the iTuens store, both are Thrash Metal albums. The album itself though is classified as Alternative. I want to edit each individual file and change the Genre to "Thrash Metal". The first half of the album worked fine, but these last few songs won't change. I will delete "Alternative" and then manually type in "Thrash Metal" then hit enter, I have also tried clicking "Ok". Then when I go back into the file it says Alternative again, is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, how should I fix it?

WARNING: If you get on iTunes and are asked to update, don't do it. This new iTunes sucks and though it isn't convoluted for someone with half of a brain, it certainly isn't as basic and simple as the iTunes before the update.

cannot agree more. The layout is more than sucks. All the previous itunes have the control panel on the left. Once you plugged any devices into your computer, it shows on the left, such as iPhone/radio/album/iPod/Apple store. But the latest version of iTunes, it is not as user friendly as before, they put everything on the top, and I hate the way they organized the album. In short, you have to do more steps than before to do something.
