Many parents do not allow their children to read comics, saying that they are a
waste of time. For some reason comics have always had a bad reputation. I
guess that's because some comics contain violence and sexual content.
However, not all of them have inappropriate content. I enjoy reading comics
because they are interesting and easy to read.

In response to your passage posted on 2nd November, I agree with you, Mary.
In my opinion, most parents think that it will waste their children's time, if their children read comics because the contents of comics are not in the syllabuses of their studies. So they prefer their children spending more time for reading their text books and related books rather than reading comics. They also think that if their children succeed in their external examinations, their children will have a good future.
On the other hand, although their children get very good results in their examinations, actually they do not learn much in our society.So I do not think they can perform well when they go to work.
How can they have good prospects?
