1.Two stations X and Y are 400km apart. Two stations travel with speed of 45
and 35km/hr and start from X and Y simultaneously. When will they meet after
they start?



2.A two-digit number is greater than 4 times the sum of its digits by 3. If 27 is added to the number, the result is the same as reversing the digits of the number.

3.a and b are 400 m apart on a straight road and they set out to run at the same time. If they run towards eaah other, they will meet after 40 seconds. if they run in the same direction, a will catch up with b after 3 minutes and 20 seconds. find the running speeds of a and b in m/s.

minutes eariler than b, they will meet 38 minutes after traijn b has started. find the speeds of trains a and b in km/h.


5.there is a rectangle. if its length decreases by 3 cm and its width increases by 2 cm, it will become a square. the area of the square is less than the area of the rectangle by 4cm square. find the length and width of the rectangle.
