or

"My lover, Mary"

the difference is just the comma. Which is better ??

I would prefer 'My love; Mary' as thats the correct grammar.
And love sounds less cheesy than lover.

You need the ; not a ,

I think "My Lover, Mary' because your basically saying " my Lover , SHe is Mary"
