At a distance of 9.00×10^12 m from a star, the intensity of the radiation
from the star is 15.3 W/m^2

Assuming that the star radiates uniformly in all directions, what is the
total power output of the star?

Express your answer with the appropriate units.

Assume no absorption of radiation in space, the power incident on the surface of a sphere of radius 9x10^12 m centred at the star
= 4.pi.(9x10^12)^2 x 15.3 W = 1.56 x 10^28 W

Hence, total power output from the star = 1.56 x 10^28 W
