Explain how to graph a line using the slope, m, and the y-intercept, b

Let the x-intercept = a ,
then the required line passing through two points : (0 , b) and (a , 0).
m = (b - 0) / (0 - a) = - b/a
i.e.
a = - b/m
Then we can find the value of a by (- b/m) for m ≠ 0.
We can graph the line by join (0 , b) and (a , 0).
If m = 0 , then the the line is the horizontal line passing through (0 , b).

If b = 0 , then the line passing through (0 , 0) and (1 , m).
