"Gauge pressure" is the pressure in excess of atmosperic pressure.

"Atmospher ic pressure" is the pressure given by the air in the atmosphere.

"Absolute pressure" is the total presure experienced by a surface.

The three quantities are related by the equation:

Absolute pressure = atmospheric pressure + gauge pressure.
