“What is the meaning of life?” I always ask myself this question. After reading this book, think I have found the answer.
In the past, I used to believe that life was meaningless, everybody was born to prepare for the death. In such a long, painful journey, we had to face a variety of problems and had to accomplish lots of tasks including our academic study, our work etc. I didn’t know the actual meaning of life, I thought that although sometimes we could play, enjoy, most of time was filled with piles of duties.
Our life routine was to work and work and work. In our childhood, we studied quite hard and even if we had studied hard, it might not pay off and thus we couldn’t get into the university and as a result we would need to work hardly to feed our next generation, And when a body is about 65 years old, he would retire and wait for the death. The above is what I thought before this book.
........Among these 101 stories, I am especially impressed by “ A Mom’s Life”. In fact, this one isn’t actually a story, it is a list of 100 things that your mom has ever reminded you. I was surprised by the accuracy of the list, my mom has reminded me more that 80 things listed on the list. Some of them are not included because of cultural difference. “Just try a little, you don’t have to eat the whole thing.”,” Stop playing and eat.”, “Someone left his shoes in front of the TV.” etc. From this , I have learnt that since we are a born, our parents have been worrying about us in different ways, they sacrifice a lot, being parents is a thankless job. Therefore, I have determined to work hard to repay my parents and mustn’t do anything that makes them worry or hurt them.

Our life/ daily routine was simply working. In our childhood, we studied quite hard in order to get a degree in the university. However, our effort didn't seemed to pay off. As a result,it is almost compulsary for us to work hard to feed our next generation.
