English questions, please help?

Is it correct to say

I want to drive a plane.
The pilots are driving the plane.

Also,
The kids are playing in the street.
They kids are playing on the street

Which one is correct? Thank you.

The kids are playing in the street. A specfic group of kids are playing. If you say this to your spouse, "the kids" refers to your kids.
Some kids are playing in the street. A non-specific group of kids are playing.
Kids are playing in the street. A non-specific group of kids are playing.

You fly a plane. You drive a car. You could humorously refer to a plane as if it were a car and say something like, "It's the other pilot's turn to drive."

This both sentence is correct..

The plane stuff is okay. And for the other one. You say the kids are playing in the street.
