如果沒有上下文，通常一句話的開頭不會用尤其是......，
通常都是敘述完一件事情很.....，尤其是.....更......，
所以我沒有在這個句子裡面加入尤其是這個元素。

如果你擔心這樣使用，會被誤認為是"與錢交朋友"
那可以考慮改寫為:

It's deplorable to make friends by using money.

It's pathetic to make friends with money.

or It's pathetic to buy friends.

make friends with money 意思變成「與金錢為友」.

文妮的譯法buy friendship with money, 較符合原句意旨.
也可用to base friendship on money
或to establish friendship through money.

It’s quite miserable to buy friendship with money.
