MQ50 --- Limit

Consider y = x^x, ln y = x lnx

lim (x -> 0) ln y

= lim (x -> 0) x lnx

= lim (x -> 0) lnx/(1/x)

= lim (x -> 0) (1/x)/(-1/x^2) (L'Hôpital's rule)

= lim (x->0) -x

= 0

So, lim (x->0) x^x = lim (x->0) exp(ln y) = 1
