BRING FORTH (formal)
- to produce something /give birth to someone or make it appear生產, 引起, 提出, 展示
It’s a tragic affair that brought forth only pain.
Her letter to the New York Times brought forth a flood of comments.
She brought forth a son. (Old use)

BRING UP
1. to mention a subject and start to talk about it 提出
The issue of unemployment will be brought up at the next meeting.
I hate to bring up this, but you owe me $200.

2. to look after and influence a child until he/she is an adult 撫養
She was brought up by her grandmother
She brought up three children on her own.

BRING FORWARD
1. to change the date or time of an event so that it happens sooner提前
The meeting has been brought forward to Monday.

2. to announce a plan/legislation/policy officially so that people can discuss it. 提出
The government has brought forward a new proposal to tackle the problem of unemployment.

3. to move the total sum from the bottom of one page to top of next把帳目轉入次頁
The balance brought forward is $12,345


These three phrases are different in meaning, except the following.

Difference between Bring up and Bring forward 相樣解釋 “提出”

If you bring up a particular subject, you introduce it into a discussion or conversation.
If you bring forward an argument or a proposal, you state it so people can discuss and consider it.

Bring up 可以在個人閒談中, Bring forward 在舉行會議上, 比較 formal, 多數要討論
