Net external force acting on the system
= F - 1 x g.sin(30) = 12 - g.sin(30)
where g is the acceleration due to gravity, taken to be 10 m/s^2

Use: net-force = mass x acceleration
hence, 12 - g.sin(30) = (3+1)a
where a is the acceleration of the system
a = [12- g.sin(30)]/4 m/s^2 = 1.75 m/s^2

Consider the mass m1,
Tension in the cord = 3 x 1.75 N = 5.25 N
