Yep. This is perfectly normal. Usually for a lot of girls, after they begin their first period, their periods start out being irregular for a certain amount of time, depending on the person, and then begin to regulate into their monthly cycle. During the time your periods are irregular, you could skip about 1-6 months before you reach your following period. This is very normal and there is nothing to worry about.
For a lot of girls, their periods could be irregular for about 2 years before their periods actually begin to regulate. For many others, it could take more or less time for their periods to actually regulate. This is because, as you are 13 and already started puberty, your body is developing mentally, physically and sexually. In order for your body to develop, it needs certain chemical substance called "hormones" which run around your body through your bloodstream. But, in order for you to receive a regular menstrual cycle, your body also needs a certain amount of hormones in order to run properly. As the hormones are already being used for development during puberty, you will receive an irregular menstrual cycle, which is completely normal during your teen years. Another thing which could cause irregular periods is stress, if you receive a large amount of stress during your daily life such as, stress about school, stress about upcoming exams or any kind of stress at all. This could also make you skip periods.
