1.a swimmer swims in a steam which runs from the west to the east.after he swims a distance of 620m to the west ,he gets very tried,and he is then drifted by the stream to the east.after a certain time,he is drifted to a psition which is 124m east of his starting point. how far has he been drifted by the stream?

Distance he has been driftedby the stream= 620 - 124 m
= 496m (to the east)
