Muslims and christians please answer me this

Bible states - John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is to come

Quran states - Sura 2:97
Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel -
for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will,
a confirmation of what went before, and guidance and glad tidings
for those who believe, - ...

So basically jesus was right? The spirit is the truth and the quran confirms that it is a guidance?

I believe jesus to be the son of god but muslims please no rude answers, i just like to know more

Thanks in advance

The Spirit of the Creator Son , the Spirit of truth , came upon all men on pentecost. This Spirit is with us from birth and acts as a guide in the the discernment of the Divine virtue of truth . Among it's blessings is the prevention of demonic possession which up to the bestowal to the SoT was a somewhat common occurrence .

The spirit is the truth and the quran confirms that it is a guidance?
no the quran does not confirm what jesus said

the spirit of truth is the comforter

jesus was talking about the holy spirit

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

I am not Muslim.

But Muslims are fanatic, they don't believe any other religion other than Islam and no book other than Quran.

Your theory may be right, but you can never convince any Muslim.

I think you have asked this question also, see my answer there also:

I evaluate Quran from two point of views; one from biblical point of view and the other is from my own point of view.

From biblical perspective, Quran is totally false. Bible says that Jesus was died for our sins and was resurrected for our salvation; Quran denies this and hence, Quran has NOTHING to do with bible.

Now my own perspective; I find a number of verses in Quran that Islam is the only true religion, and it keeps on bashing other religions. It is evident by reading such verses that Quran is a deliberately made book only to elevate Muslims above other religions. If Quran is to be true, then God should be an incapable being. It says that whatever revealed before Quran has been corrupted and that is why Allah sent Quran. If Muslims think that Allah was incapable to keep his words intact, and needed to give another one, that means Allah is totally incapable. I do not believe in an incapable God, but in an Almighty God who is capable to do anything..good as well as evil.

Edit: I completely agree with pml..he is absolutely correct.

The spirit of truth is Muhammad ..

Jesus said,

( if I don't go, he will not come onto thee

But if I go, I will send him )

We all know that the holy ghost was there before and during the life of Jesus ..

All religions use fear to convert people and to keep them under control. lslam is probably the most extreme example today, closely followed by fundamentalist Christianity. The Aztecs did a magnificent job before the Spaniards came along with their just as bloodthirsty so-called Christianity. .

Gautama Buddha said it is not our business to worry about god. The concept implies infinity. Man is finite, thus cannot grasp infinity. So man is wasting his time in trying to do so.

Gautama Buddha said:
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

Go for a philosophy like Science, if you want one that attempts to make sense of the universe, or Taoism, Vedanta (the Upanishads) or Buddhism if you need a spiritual perspective.

those who deny the trinity & deny the Holy Spirit do exactly not comprehend their Bibles. So then we arise with that the Holy Spirit isn't God?? I very much debate that one. Or can we are saying that Jehovah isn't God?? or that Jehovah and Jesus are an similar individual, which the Bible obviously shows Jesus chatting with his Father. the in fact answer is 3 persons = one God, there is no longer different sensible answer. to assert that Jesus is the single authentic God, then denies Jehovah & the Holy Spirit as being God. Jesus spoke that the Holy Spirit will be our comforter & that HE would practise guide us. P
