I'm making a steam boat, so I need an enamel paint to go on some metal and withstand heat and direct flame (though only a small part will be exposed to the flame)
Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can get heat-proof enamel in a spray can from car accessory shops. It's designed for exhaust pipes and manifolds.
