何謂上市公司和有限公司?

In simple term, Limited company is normally classified into 2 types - Private and Public.

Listed company 上市公司 is a Public limited company with shares that can be traded in public in the Stock Exchange. So, you can buy and sell it at any time in the Stock Market.

However, the shares in Private Limited company could not be traded in public, stock market. The Issues and Transfers of shares are restricted under the Articles of Association of the company. This is the most commonly used for private business or investment.
