過去式動詞語句, 帶出情節是否一定用過去式?

因為是講真理, 所以永遠, 所以是現在式

he adivsed XXX suffered from high blood pressure這句不通, 完整句是如何?

這個要看你是說過去, 還是說現在, 如果還有高血壓, 那就是用現在式

你所談及的問題，是時式一致的問題，所謂時式一致，即指複合句子的主要子句與從屬子句兩者之動詞式的相互規則而言，如：

１）主要子句的動詞是現在式，則從屬子句的動詞不受限制，任何時式皆可。
２）主要子句的動詞是過去式時，則從屬子句必須是過去時式，或過去完成式。

但以上的時式一致的規則，在以下的情況則例外

１）敘述不變的真理、格言，如：
　　He said that the moon is round.
　　He said that man cannot live without water.

２）敘述現在的習慣或事實，如：
　　a)He said that he usually gets up at six every morning.
　　b)He told me this morning that the men are still at work on the bridge.（注：這句所表達的是─當轉述他所講的話的時候，那些人還是和「今天早上」一樣，正在工作著的意思；若輚述時不知其情況，要要把are改為were。

３）敘述歷史事實時，通常只用過去式，而不用過去完成式，如：
　　He said that the United State declared indepence in 1776.

４）表示比較時
　It was colder yesterday than it is today.
