There are 2 numbers, one big and one small.
The big one plus the small one = 37
The big one minus the small one = 3
What is big one x small one ?
解 :
Let the 2 numbers be x and y
x + y = 37 ...........(1)
x - y = 3 .............(2)
(1) + (2)
2x = 40
x = 20
From (2) y = x - 3 = 20 - 3 = 17.
That is the 2 numbers are 20 and 17.
Their product = 20 x 17 = 340.

兩個數字ge加埋分別37 and 3.。搵個兩個數字ge乘。

let the 2 numbers be x and (x+1).

x+(x+1)=37
2x+1=37
2x=36
x=18

x+(x+1)=3
2x+1=3
2x=2
x=1

their product is x(x+1),
sub x=18 and x=1 into the eq.

18(18+1)
=342

1(1+1)
=2

so the product of 2 difference numbers are 342 and 2.
