Hypoglycemia and driving?

I'm 15 and I'm currently applying for my permit. I was diagnosed with reactive [non-diabetic] hypoglycemia a few weeks ago, and I was wondering if that counts as a medical condition that would impair driving. My mom said no, but I feel like I should check the "yes" box, because I tend to get very confused and have slow reactions whenever I haven't eaten in a while...

Your symptoms are easily remedied by eating a small snack when you feel your sugar crashing. You can stop at a store any time you need to get something to eat. There's no reason why you should allow yourself to have problems while driving since you can completely control what you eat and when you eat it. If you say you have an impairment, the state might not issue you a license.

Maybe you should ask your doctor.
