Late 70's, A babysitter watched a movie at my house that has stuck with me to this day. I recall a woman bending down by the water in a rainforest type setting and uses an adjustable ring (I believe) to pick white worms out of her skin. Guess I know why it has stuck with me!

I've seen this, too. It's a documentary made by Discovery, not a movie. Sorry, I can't remember the name. It's about a plane crash. Of course Discovery can't document it when it was happening. Therefore, they reconstructed it. The plane crashed in a jungle. Only a few people were alive when the plane hit the ground. Most survivors insisted to stay there and waited for help. Only one woman suggested to leave there. However, it was refused by the others. So, she went to look for help herself. The reason she insisted to leave is that she had lived in jungle for a long time with her parents. It has something to do with her parents' job. She knew the debris hide by trees was difficult to find by rescue team. The tropical rainforest was extremely hot and without food and water, people would die soon. So, she had to find water herself and to look for people who live there along the river. And that's exactly what she did. At last, she saw some locals look like indians and fainted. Actually, she was the only one survived from that crash.
