Why would a newly married woman commit suicide?

A 23 year old pregnant woman committed suicide in sector 16 Panchkula on Monday. She was found in her in-laws house under mysterious circumstances. The victim Mehak Garg, a resident of Delhi got married to Sandeep Garg five months ago. Sandeep is reportedly absconding.

On Monday after completing household work, Mehak went to her room and looked it from inside Rekha her mother in-law said that they called her but she did not come out. Then around 1 pm, Mehak's father-in-law surrender Garg forced open the door and she was found hanging from the fan.

Mehak was rushed to the sector 6 general Hospital where she was declared brought dead. Mehak Family members alleged that her-in-laws used to torture her. They sometimes did not give her food and she had lost 20 kilos after her marriage. The parents of the girl alleged that her husband Sandeep used to beat her up under the influence of liquor. Mehak was two months pregnant.

Meanwhile a case of dowry death against Sandeep, his parents and sister have been registered. The police said they were asking for dowry of Rs 5 lakh and a car. The police have rounded up the in-laws. A case under Section 304-B of the IPC has been registered.

But it all turned out to be a big ruse because the sister was in love with him all along. She was a master manipulator and murdered her sister to get close to him!
