英文小問題 of which, whose用法

主要是想問of which 跟whose的用法

The girl, whose name is Lisa, is a beautiful girl.

在上面這句中 因為主詞是人而用WHOSE

本句應無逗號，因為是限定性質的形容詞子句。The girl whose name is LIsa is a beautiful girl.

但若是狗或物品等非人的主詞 是不是就不能用WHOSE了?

如 The dog, whose fur is soft and white, looks cute. 應該不行

要改成 The dog, of which fur is soft and white, looks cute.

這樣是否正確呢?

應寫作：The dog the fur of which is soft and white looks cute.（限定性質，不加逗號）
或The dog of which the fur is soft and white looks cute.(這種寫法較少見，但正確）
或The dog whose fur is soft and white looks cute.現代英語己開始用whose取代of which，請參見趙振才著＜英語常見問題大詞典＞p.1079 whose的用法。

另外請教兩點

句子中 若我要改成「限定」的句子 是否逗點通通可以拿掉?

如 The dog of which the fur is soft and white looks cute.

然後這句話可否寫成

The dog the fur of which is soft and white looks cute.

必須拿掉逗號，因為兩句的形容詞子句屬於限定性質的修飾語。

關係代名詞的所有格都用whose

whose: 用於人/ 人以外的事物. of which : 用於人以外的事物


The dog, whose fur is soft and white, looks cute.
= The dog, of which the fur is soft and white,looks cute.
= The dog, the fur of which is soft and white , looks cute.

改成限定時，逗點拿掉就可。

正解是The dog, the fur of which is soft and white, looks cute.
