Can you memorise the paragraph to me?
If I want the student to memorise a text and read it out by heart, are these two sentences acceptable?

There acceptable but if your talking to a student you seem pretty polite. just say:
Recite the paragraph for homework.
Memorise the paragraph for homework.

........are you sure you're an english teacher? btw it's memorize not memorise
