If you search the web for the strongest acid, you will see two candidates for it.

1.Fluoroantimonic acid

2.Carborane acid

Wikipedia and some other websites said that 1 is stronger.
About.com-Chemistry and some other websites said that 2 is stronger.

Fluoroantimonic acid vs carborane acid
Could you tell me which one is stronger?

P.S. Shouldn't be fluorosulfuric acid since 1 and 2 had replaced it (see websites)

Use the "Hammett Acidity Function "
Fluoroantimonic acid has function -31.3
Carboane acid is -18
Fluorosulfuric acid is 15.1
H2SO4 is -12 .
Use the value of this function Fluoroantimonic is the strongest acid .

But you have to define what does "an acid" mean.
Does gluoroantimonic acid exist, or its just a mixture of antimony pentafluoride and hydrogen fluoride?
