Do more people believe or disbelieve?

In religion?

If you look at the entire population are their more people who follow a religion or more people without religious beliefs?

Are you aware of other people's beliefs where you live? Is your neck of the woods bible belt & god squad or heathens?

Do you think it matters a lot one way of the other... say for example you are not religious but everyone around you is, or vice versa?

I'm pretty sure that if you take all the religions into accoun then about 80% of people have some religious belief or other. Round where I live the majority are Muslim, theres a few Christians, a sprinkling of Bhudists, and the odd few other religions some of which are really odd.

Globally there are thought to be about 1 billion Christians not 3 billion as some have stated. This is because you cannot say that someone is a Christian just because they live in a "Christian" country.

The Anglican Communion uses about 1 billion as a base figure for this reason.

Probably 75% believe in God
Probably 5% to to church every week...at least in America

more people in the world believe in some sort of deity than people that don't believe in one.
it just shows how weak the majority of the world is.

Religion is in ur face wherever u go, ul see churches, mosques, synagogues, etc. Wars and all other discourses are a manifestation of who the majority is.

Religion is a manifestation due to desperation from the human psyche.

- There are more people that were raised around religion and many of them still maintain their belief or acquire another one, so yes.

- Where I live, most people are lutheran or evangelical with a scattering of catholics. I don't live in a bible belt, per se. People practice and just see church and bible groups as an ancillary benefit, like a social thing.

- I don't think so at my location. The attitude is pretty much "to each his or her own".

The majority of planet earth is religious. Three billion Christians alone, add muslims, Jews, Buddhists..etc You get the point.

Almost everyone in my area is a Christian.

No not really.

Fact is majority of the world is religious, having thousands of years of religious oppression, with no proof otherwise sure did convince and create a lot of cultures. I personally am not religious because I don't believe in god, but I do believe in something uhm, above humans... I don't know. It doesn't matter if you are religious, or if the people around you are. Be respectful to everyone who deserves it, and don't mock peoples beliefs, if they are spitting in your face that you will 'burn in hell for eternity' then they aren't even worth knowing.

Disbelieve. Because something makes you believe. First disbelieve, then believe because you original didn't believe, then something makes you believe.
