i answer questions about time differences in the world but some people have slightly different answers due to stuff like summer time savings or daylight savings.I thought all countries used daylight savings. So do all countries use daylight savings and what is summer timesavings?
only about 1/3 of the world uses savings time
in reality we are saving tnothing it is given back a few months later opne day is 23 hours long and one day is 25 hours long thus no saving
Yes, the vast majority of the world don't in fact. It is mostly used in the Northern Hemisphere i.e. Europe and North America because the climate is colder. It would be pointless having DST in say, Africa. Do you really think Africa needs MORE sun?!
Yep, yet in Australia we've daytime mark downs in each state different than Queensland, Western Australia and northerly Territory lol, so TECHNICALLY to respond to your question.... No lol (Im in Queensland :P)
Summer time savings is the same as daylight saving time, just another term for it. Daylight saving time is the official term though.
There are around 70 countries at the moment which are following daylight saving time during the summer months. If there are around 200 countries all together, this means that all the countries do not follow daylight saving time.
In the USA Indiana has county option on daylight time. Since the boundary between Eastern and Central time passes through Indiana, four possible times can exist there: Eastern Standard, Eastern Daylight, Central Standard and Central Daylight. EST and CDT are the same on the clock.
Arizona regards DST as a communist plot.
China and quite a few other countries do not use DST.
Some states in the US don't or didn't use daylight saving time. Countries that use it may start and end on different dates, and some countries move their clocks forward and back by two hours.
Yes because if some did and some didt then every place would have a different time, i just moved from England to America but the time is the same, see how it works.
